In recent years, LCD TVs have enjoyed great success in the home television market, and even though they are ruling over plasma TVs in terms of smaller sized screens, they’re quickly catching up to that particular TV variety in the larger screens.

There are even 55″ LCD TVs on the market already; if those end up selling well and the units get cheaper to produce, plasma’s reign on big screen televisions might end in favor of the LCD.
